KS2: Dudley Performing Arts - Planet Jazz
On the 30th March, KS2 were treated to some live music from Dudley Performing Arts.
The show was called Planet Jazz, and the children were taken through different time periods and styles of Jazz music that has populated the world. We took a trip to New Orleans, Belgium (for some very strange improvised jazz) and Latin America and heard many different famous pieces of music, such as "Oh when the saints". We also learnt the different notes in a blues scale and were introduced to some of the different instruments used.
We had a great afternoon of live music, thanks DPA!
