Our School Council visited the Houses of Parliament in London. It was a very early start with the children meeting at school at 6 o'clock in the morning! We then had a very long drive to London.
As soon as we arrive din London, we had a tour guide show us around the Houses of Parliament. We got to go into the House of Commons and the House of Lords and saw where the Queen's coffin was early this year. We were lucky enough to meet one of our local Members of Parliament, Mike Wood, but didn't get to see Rishi Sunak or Keir Starmer!
Once we had finished our tour of Westminster, we went in to Jubilee gardens to eat our lunch and then went onto the London Eye. From the London Eye, we saw lots of famous sights such as the River Thames, Buckingham Palace and the Shard.
