In preparation for their visit to the Houses of Parliament, our School Council took part in some of the activities from Parliament Week 2022.
The children were read a story about a class going to visit the Houses of Parliament and then watched a short YouTube video about the House of Commons, MPs and the House of Lords, about how MPs are elected and how our country is governed.
The School Council finished off their activity with a board game based on facts about parliament.
Did you know that there has been a clock tower on the site of Big Ben/the Elizabeth Tower since the 1290s!
