Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Tournament
Roberts attended the annual Dudley schools Tag rugby competition with a mixed team
a of Year 5 and 6. Our opening game saw us defeat Brook 5-0, followed up with a 5-2 win against Dingle. A closely contested very attacking game saw a 6-6 draw with Church of Ascension. Our final group game saw us run out 5-2 winners against a quick Milking Bank B side.
Our excellent results saw us progress to the Final Group against Milking Bank A and Blanford Mere. We drew both our final games and with Milking Bank beating Blanford, they progress to the Dudley regional finals as winners, and we progress as overall runners up.
Roberts went the whole tournament unbeaten, winning 3 and drawing 3 - a fabulous achievement!
The children played every game with huge smiles on their faces, were incredibly respectful at all times and even encouraged other teams when we were not playing. They were a credit to the school and their parents.
